Taken on a rainy night in mid December. Rain is unusual this time of year. I decided to go out with a friend and do some shooting downtown. We went to shoot the Christmas lights but this alley grabbed us instead. I like the dual tone nature of the lighting, how it is split down the alley on the concrete. A car drove by while the shot was exposing and left a trail of lights behind the sculpture. By the end of night I was soaked but I think it was worth it. :)

Those Post-It notes hang on the wall in my bedroom. The one on the left was just added the other day.

This sits at the corner of 4th and Main in Cedar Falls. A building once stood here, but it burned down years ago. This lot has been vacant for the six years I've (not consistently) lived in Cedar Falls.
What's odd is that developers keep buying up land to build strip malls that stay vacant for years, while no one has wanted to build here.
