I went to the base today, to shoot the air park on September 11th. It just felt right. I never noticed this on the F-16 before.

F-16A FIGHTING FALCON
The 27th Fighter Wing flew the F-16 from May 95-Feb 08. The F-16 has participated in combat operations worldwide, including Operation Desert Fox, Southern Watch, and Iraqi Freedom. After September 11, 2001, the squadrons went on alert, flying sorties in support of homeland security. At its peak, Cannon AFB had 81 F-16s in four fighter squadrons.
