Because I could. :) I was in Columbia today, so I figured I'd go facedown at the capitol building.

And yes, that is a confederate flag flying in front of the statehouse. It used to fly on top of the statehouse but pressure from the NAACP caused them to take it down. (If you found this picture through some image search for confederate flags, save your political comments for somewhere else)

And no, there's nothing wrong with your Flickr settings. Most of the pictures I upload to Flickr are of 640x480 pixel size, so you don't get to see this in the annoyingly large new format of the Flickr photo page. ;) HFDT!
