Sturtevant Falls is a hike out in the Los Angeles area. It is one of the most popular hikes out in the San Gabriel area, yet I only found out about it in 2011. It is roughly a 3 mile hike and the entire time I felt very comfortable. I think that even the most beginner can go on this hike because it is not hard at all. Along the way you will see plenty of man made waterfalls as well as cottages and small streams. When I went, the wildlife consisted of birds and lots and lots of spiders! TONS of web formations everywhere! The hardest part of this hike is when you'd have to go uphill to get back to your car. =P This footage was captured sometime during the summer. I saw lots of nice moss growing on logs, rocks, and even the dirt. I'd imagine that if we went during Spring or even Winter after it had been raining and all the plants were growing, that this place would look much more awesome!
